Are you familiar with this lyric?
"Everything I need is on the ground.
Nah, but they don't hear me though
Yeah, what goes up it must come down.
Nah, but they don't hear me though
You're running out of time!"
Times up! You got it right! It's Rosé's On The Ground lyrics. Nothing could be more true than this.
'Mother Earth' or 'Mother Nature' is a personification of nature that has aspects of life-giving and nurturing, like a mother should be. Based on the Bible or any other ancient literature, a mother gives birth and has a god-given capacity to nurture her young ones, not only her biological children but also the children of others.
Why not The Earth Father? So, who is the father? Is he The Sun, like in a nursery rhyme, O Mr. Sun?
Back again on the life-giving nature and nurturing aspects, our Earth literally provides our basic needs, which are oxygen and water. Can you ask Mr Sun for oxygen and water? Of course, you can't! Our starship can't event reach him. However, water exists on Mars.
How about Oxygen? According to NASA, there is a very small amount of oxygen on Mars, but we do have technology called MOXIE, which makes oxygen by extracting it from Martian air. Martian air is full of carbon dioxide and a very small amount of oxygen. The interesting fact, oxygen is not just for our breathing, our rocket can make a single trip to Mars, but rocket propellant also needs oxygen to make a trip home. MOXIE's principal investigator, Michael Hecht, said oxygen is key.
I think we should thank Mom Earth for the large amount of oxygen. Or THE FATHER in heaven who placed us here.
