How many of you women would do the same as Ponce De Leon, I mean the tough journey he had with his fellow explorers, just to get rid of wrinkles and avoid asking men Lana Del Rey's famous line, "Will you still love me when I am no longer young and beautiful?" Legend has it, Ponce de Leon was supposedly searching for the Fountain of Youth in Bimini when he and his fellow explorers traveled to Florida in 1513.
Being 'a young person' is not always easy, but having a youthful appearance sure benefited the person, while a 'young at heart person' lives carefree. David Crawford wrote 'Young hearts run free' lyrics. You can tell the song is about an abusive relationship. You can always tell when a lover doesn't put in effort to love the right way. Crawford suggested these lines;
🎵 It's high time now just one crack at life
Who wants to live in, in trouble and strife
My mind must be free, to learn all I can about me
I'm gonna love me, for the rest of my days.
Eventually, the Spaniards had an unsuccessful journey to the Fountain of Youth. However, the Spaniards safely returned to Puerto Rico with honor and were honored by the king. Appealingly, the 19th century German artist painted the impression of Ponce de Leon and his fellow explorers drinking from a spring in Florida. 'The Contract' made clear that after washing his face in many rivers in 'his' Florida, Ponce de Leon, instead of seeking the Fountain of Youth, decided to drink from a river in Florida, they called it 'Jordan'.
Maybe, just maybe life explorers nowadays need to find their 'Jordan'. Clearly, that decision had saved many in the past.
